Welcome to the Tida Zim Motors “How It Works” page, where we guide you through the seamless process of acquiring your dream vehicle with us. From selecting your car to taking delivery, we’re here to make every step easy and transparent. Discover the simple steps below and embark on your journey to vehicle ownership with confidence and ease.

Choose a car

Choose a car or we can help you choose on either www.sbtjapan.com or.
www.beforward.jp only. (Please note that vehicles cannot be older than 10 years from the date of enquiry.)

Get a quote

Take a screenshot showing the total car value CIF Durban port. That is the only port we work with. We will then give you a quotation showing, the deposit amount and the instalments for both 6 and 12-month payment periods so you can choose what works for you.


The total selling price we give you includes:

  • CIF Beitbridge Price
  • CIF Durban Price
  • Freight Charge from Durban to Beitbridge
  • Customs Duty
  • Zimra Clearing Cost
  • Storage Cost
  • Vehicle Collection Cost (Beitbridge to Harare)
  • Vehicle Insurance & Licence (First 3 Months)
  • Vehicle Registration cost
  • There are no hidden fees. You will only pay your deposit and the respective instalments for the payment plan you choose.
  •  We charge 4% interest on the principal balance for both 6-month and 12-month payment plans.
  • The buying and shipping process takes 6-10 weeks and you will be recorded as the consignee of the shipment and the vehicle comes registered in your name.
  •  During the shipping process you will be provided with shipment updates (and a CAP tracking link for Beforward purchases only).

Requirements for the Vehicle Financing Scheme

 

✔ A minimum of 50% Deposit
✔ Proof of residence
✔ Bank statement showing the last 6 months or any proof of income that you might have (proof of income flow)
✔ A Valid Drivers License
✔ A certified copy of ID

Once you have provided these documents we will draft an agreement of sale which is legally binding to both parties. This agreement will spell out the duties and responsibilities of both parties and the terms and conditions of the sale. You can bring your lawyer or any third party to be your witness once you have read and understood the agreement.

 

You will then make your payment and we will initiate the importation. We will then hand over the vehicle once it arrives and all the papers are processed. However, you will only get the registration book when you pay the final instalment.
